LeBron Named Eastern Conf. Player Of Week

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Stop us if you’ve heard this before; Miami Heat superstar forward LeBron James has been named the NBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week.

During the Heat’s four games last week, the Miami Heat was undefeated and opponents were not even getting close with most games decided by double-digits.

James averaged 27.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 5.8 assists per game during the last week’s worth of games. In addition, James shot 62 percent from the field and hit nearly 91 percent from the free throw line.

For the season, James is averaging 27.9 points, 8.2 rebounds, 6.8 assists, and 1.7 steals per game. LeBron’s been named Eastern Conference Player of the Week multiple times this season and is leading the way for MVP candidates thus far in the NBA season.

James was actually outplayed last week by the Western Conference Player of the Week, Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder. Durant averaged 32 points and eight rebounds per game during the last week.
